A Japanese serow I encountered on the way back to Tsumagoi Village from Jigokudani Monkey Park. The photo above was taken at PENTAX K-1II & D FA150-450. The two black and white photos were taken with a PENTAX MZ-S & Sigma APO 500/f4.5 & ILFORD HP5 A serow we encountered later in the evening in Tsumagoi Village. PENTAX K-1II & D FA150-450

Gifu butterfly Japanese Luehdorfia
Japanese Luehdorfia(JP Name:Gifu chou) is an endemic species of Japan and flies only for about two weeks in spring. It is also an endangered species and has been designated as a natural monument by many municipalities. The first shot was taken in 2016.
